Dan Adolphson is currently the Associate Minister of First Christian Church Minneapolis, an Open & Affirming congregation in the heart of the Twin Cities. He holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Phillips Theological Seminary, a mini-MBA in NonProfit Organizations from the University of St. Thomas, and a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Crown College. Dan has been part of GLAD since 2011, when he joined the O & A Ministries Team.

Dan is also active as a musician and serves on grant panels for regional and state arts organizations. He brings to GLAD a rich background in church music, education, tourism management, and nonprofit administration, specifically in development and grant programs. He is engaged to Keith Seifert and together they cultivate a serious passion for travel, wine and pottery. Dan has been on the council for the past year, having been appointed to finish the last year of a vacant term. During that time he served as secretary for the council.
Leah Sharpe grew up in Connecticut and attended a UCC church during High School. She attended Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, VA, where she earned a BA in Accounting in 2000, MBA in 2001. She has worked as a Financial Analyst at AREVA since 1998. Currently she is living in Greensboro, NC with her husband and 2 children. During her time in Lynchburg she was a member of First Christian Church Lynchburg, an Open & Affirming Congregation, and was part of the group from that church that came to General Assembly in 2013 to support Resolution GA1327 “Becoming a People of Grace and Welcome to All.”

Since Sept. 2013 she has been a member of First Christian Church Greensboro, NC. Or her commitment to GLAD, Leah says “GLAD is important to me to allow my children (and all children) to grow up and see that Love is Love, that they will be supported by their church family no matter who they love when they grow up AND to teach them that we Love ALL (especially at church) no matter who they Love.”
Leaving the council, we give much thanks to Jim Barton who now has completed his 4 year term. We greatly appreciate all of his hard work, and we look forward to how he will be involved with GLAD in the future!
If you are saying to yourself, “What election?” then you probably did not get a ballot in the mail.* That means either your membership was not current on July 1, 2014 OR it means we do not have a current mailing address for you. If your envelope came back to us, you will be getting an email asking you for a current address. If you are not current with your membership, you can take care of that matter right here:
