VISION: With Atlanta Pride events altered due to the pandemic, our vision is for Christian Churches in Georgia to host a Drive-Thru Pride Parade for local citizens to celebrate God’s big love for all people.

Update on Georgia LGBTQ+ Alliance Drive Thru Pride Parade 
Dear Friends, the Georgia LGBTQ+ Alliance planning team met on Sunday afternoon and decided to postpone the proposed Drive Thru Pride Parade until 2021.  As you can imagine, there were a number of factors involved, so we think it best to look to next year.  However, we did agree to join Disciples of Christ churches together for a Transgender Day of Remembrance this winter.  The official Transgender Day of Remembrance is Nov. 20, 2020, and we can offer it to God and one another anytime that week or weekend.  Last year FCC Decatur, Gentle Spirit Christian Church and Unity Fellowship joined as one Body of Christ for that service.  If you would like to participate and help prepare for the 2020 service, please contact Pastor James.

MEETING PURPOSE: Bring together Disciples of Christ to whom Open & Affirming ministry and hospitality are vital in order to make connections and then plan for October Drive-Thru Pride parades at local Disciples churches.

We need your input! We have important decisions to discuss and make!
