Arizona O&A church receives DCEF technology grant and strengthens online presence
Have you considered that online worship is more accessible to the LGBTQ+ community?
Some LGBTQ+ individuals who have experienced harm by the church feel safer “visiting a church” online.
As the COVID-19 pandemic heightened in the spring of 2020, AllianceQ collaborated with sibling ministries to create a resource with strategies for living out LGBTQIA+ welcome in your online worship experiences.
As hybrid worship experiences continue, your online presence makes a difference. A Disciples Church Extension Fund (DCEF) technology grant made a difference for Desert Heritage Church in Mesa, AZ, strengthening its online presence. Desert Heritage is an an Open & Affirming ministry of both the United Church of Christ and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
DCEF Creative Writer/Digital Media Specialist Nadine Compton tells how the technology grant helped the church: Lights, camera, action.
