Call for Stories: Does Your Congregation Welcome Bisexual People?

GLAD has received a request from Marie Alford-Harkey, Deputy Director of the Religious Institute, a multifaith organization dedicated to advocating for sexual health, education, and justice in faith communities and society.

The Religious Institute is looking for stories from congregations that are doing especially well welcoming and including bisexual members – or, not so well.

The Religious Institute plans to publish a guidebook on bisexuality for congregations and is seeking stories of practical best practices of welcome specifically of bisexual people.
Examples of stories sought include clergy who identify as bisexual and may or may not be out in their congregations (names can be omitted in the guidebook) and congregants who identify as bisexual and have had especially good or bad experiences in congregations.
