Tools for tough conversations toward a more fully inclusive church
Join us for a Virtual Building an Inclusive Church Toolkit Training December 11 or January 29.
When we adapted our Building an Inclusive Church Toolkit training to pilot its virtual presentation, participants said the workshop was meaningful and practical, providing inspiration (tears and joy!) and concrete tools for the welcoming journey. With feedback from participants earlier this year, the Virtual Building an Inclusive Church Toolkit Training is now a three-hour event. Three hours?! Only three hours? Join us for a fast-paced, engaging event.
Building an Inclusive Church (BIC) trainings are for leaders in congregations which are considering becoming Open & Affirming and for those who would like to know more about supporting other congregations becoming O&A. This training will hone your skills and give you knowledge about how to help congregations through those tough conversations toward a more fully inclusive church.
Saturday, December 11, 3-6 p.m. ET
Saturday, January 29, 9 a.m.-12p.m. ET

A Building an Inclusive Church (BIC) training helps you design and implement a journey for your faith community to publicly and intentionally welcome people of all gender expressions and sexual orientations. The training empowers congregations and ministries to create a grace-filled process towards becoming Open & Affirming, a process uniquely designed for the needs of each community.
Using the Building an Inclusive Church Toolkit, you will be equipped to deepen relationships throughout your faith community rather than spark debate or division. The Toolkit is an ecumenical resource with best practices, in its third edition developed by numerous Welcoming Church partners. Here is a direct link to The Toolkit, the primary resource for becoming Open & Affirming.
AllianceQ will journey with you throughout your process and you have access to numerous resources for deeper understanding.
The Building an Inclusive Church Toolkit Training is for those beginning the welcoming journey. Additional conversations and educational events will challenge and further equip us to live into our open & affirming identity. Follow our news to find opportunities for learning and connection.
