Each year on November 20, a memorial is held called Transgender Day of Remembrance when the lives of transgender people who have been killed over the past year are recognized and mourned. For the first time, First Church Berkeley observed this day in worship. Emerging Leader Sonny Graves reads a message to a young transgender person in the future describing the current challenges facing transgender people in the world.
