GLAD’s Pre-Assembly event at the General Assembly examined the importance of both receiving and sharing from the heart.
Allen Harris and Margot Connor allowed participants to listen to themselves through many different prayer practices and to share their stories with others.
Event participants learned the value of holy listening, listening patiently to one another with expectancy. At the end of the event, participants expressed their feelings and thoughts through finger labyrinths, mandalas, and poetry.
The event was a wonderful way to enter into the General Assembly together centered on the love of God. How are you able to allow God to be at the center of your sharing in your local congregation?
