GLAD's New Website
The GLAD Alliance has a new website. With a clean, simple interface the new design enables users to find the resources and inspiration they need quickly. The new website enables GLAD to keep its pages up to date and well organized at the same time.
Karen Barr, Moderator of the GLAD Council, points out that “I am especially proud of the new resource section. Providing resources to churches seeking to become more welcoming is a priority of mine, and on this website it’s quite easy to find the resources you need.”
Derek Penwell, Open & Affirming Ministry Team Leader, points out that “on the website, it’s now easy to find information about our Open & Affirming Ministry Program, how to become and O&A Ministry and how to find a church that is welcoming. That’s core to our mission.”
Says Mark Johnston, Executive Director of GLAD’s Open & Affirming Ministry Program, “It’s amazing how quickly a website can turn into a tangled mass of spaghetti. The new website enables us to add content such as news, resources, or personal stories easily and in an organized manner.”
The mission of the GLAD Alliance is to join in God’s work of transforming the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) into a just and inclusive church that welcomes persons of all gender expressions and sexual identities into the full life and leadership of the church.
