DSF Hosts Webinar on Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence
Our friends at the Disciples Seminary Foundation (an Open & Affirming Ministry of the Christian Church) have asked us to share this webinar with you.
Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence is present in the LGBTQ+ community, but it doesn’t have to be that way forever. Christian leaders are called to know the facts and to take steps to become educated, aware, and take action – especially among the LGBTQ+ community.
At General Assembly, GA Resolution 1928 calls for awareness, education and action around domestic and intimate partner violence. We invite you to receive some training BEFORE the vote so that you can arrive as an informed and pro-active person. Discover what NOT to say to someone who has experienced domestic / intimate partner violence so that you can work towards facilitating a culture of safety and healing.
Courtney Armento co-authored the resolution, and she will show you what TO say and what NOT to say to victims of domestic and intimate partner violence. Join us on Thursday, July 11 at 4 p.m. Pacific (7 p.m. Eastern) and hear from one of the authors of the resolution and discover why this issue is so important and what you can do about it.
We welcome ALL Christian leaders to attend – you never know who will need your support.
Registration is free, and replays are available with registration.
