Safe Space Gatherings at General Assembly

Three safe space gatherings have been added to the Alliance Calendar for General Assembly.

At the 2017 General Assembly in Indianapolis, the Alliance hosted a Clergy/Seminarian Gathering and the attendees very much wanted more and made it clear to us that these gatherings are important. Although our General Assembly has made it clear that our churches are called to welcome all, we know that there are many people who need to protect themselves by not being completely out in their ministry or their congregation.

Thus, the importance of these safe space gatherings.

Your attendance provides you a safe space, and your attendance is also a ministry to others who seek more connection with members and friends of the Alliance.

So do come to the gathering that is your safe space – and please honor the safe space nature of those gatherings that are not intended for you.
