Nominations for GLAD Council Announced
The Nomination Committee has announced nominations for election to the GLAD Council.
Robin Knauerhase has been serving on the GLAD Council, appointed to fill an incomplete term, and has been nominated for election to a full four year term. She describes herself as an “iconoclastic punny geek Christ-follower, aspiring polymath, and incurable horophile.” Robin has been a research scientist with Intel Labs for over 20 years. At Intel, she is active in academic collaboration, shepherding Intel grants to universities and leading joint research projects. She also serves on the board of iGLOBE, Intel’s resource group for LGBT employees. Robin enjoys volunteer work with the First Christian Church of Portland where she is a member; social justice policy, thought and debate; and spicy foods. She lives in downtown Portland, Oregon with her wonderful cat Libby.
Tyler Heston is a Brite Divinity School student from Memphis, TN. He is on staff at University Christian Church as assistant minister of middle school students. He is eager to serve on the council along with his desire to increase his engagement with LGBTQ justice issues. He is also certified as a non-profit professional by the NonProfit Leadership Alliance.
Election ballots will be mailed to members next week and will be due back at the end of the month.
