Jermell is ordained in the United Church of Christ and has worked in faith-based and secular settings. He has experience serving multiple congregations including Liberation United Church of Christ in Seattle, WA and Everett United Church of Christ in Everett, WA., both of which are Open and Affirming churches. Jermell has most recently served as Executive Director of Family Resource Centers for Volunteers of America in Everett, WA.

The Search Team was impressed by Jermell’s infectious energy and deep passion for fostering spaces rooted in justice and inclusion. His executive and interdisciplinary experiences will be a tremendous asset to AllianceQ, along with his grounded spirituality and knack for relationship building. Jermell will begin full-time with AllianceQ in early October and will be with us for the Colors of Hope retreat in Black Mountain. Jermell, we are excited to meet and get to know you in the mountains of NC!

We are grateful to our Search Committee who provided wisdom and prayerful deliberations during this process: Evan Stanfill (Council member and co-chair), Rev. Dr. Steven Blinder, (Council member and co-chair), Karen Barr (former Council Moderator), Rev. Dr. LaTaunya Bynum (former Council member), and Rev. Dr. Monica Cross (AllianceQ member).
