No, The Annual Report is NOT Boring!
At the Columbus General Assembly GLAD distributed an annual report with lots of exciting tidbits:
- We celebrated 42 new Open & Affirming congregations at the GLAD Open & Affirming Aftersession. (And we have already added another to begin our celebrations for the next General Assembly!)
- The report highlights work that our congregations are doing to support youth and create space safe from bullying and harassment.
- We are excited about the first Open & Affirming African American congregation, the first in the state of Georgia, and the first in the state of Louisiana.
- We are very grateful to you, our members and supporters, for your contributions to the Alliance. See how your congregation has done in the GLAD Congregation Membership Challenge.
- And there’s more: reflections from Karen Barr, GLAD Moderator and from Mark Johnston, Executive Director of GLAD’s Open & Affirming as well as the ever exciting statement of finances.
