Colors of Hope book events

As spring blooms begin to color our landscape, we celebrate the formal launch of Colors of Hope.

A resource for every body, Colors of Hope draws upon the iconic Pride flag and raises a call to embody our beliefs. There are a range of ways you can “hope in color” with us.

-Purchase a copy (or several copies!) of the book from Chalice Press. The book is also available everywhere books are sold.

-Register for the book launch event with Chalice Press on Tuesday, April 19, at 8 p.m.

While there will be opportunities to chat with all the contributors in the coming months, we’re excited to feature Marian Edmonds-Allen, Brendan Y. Boone, and William DeShay C. Jackson in this conversation. What questions will you have for these authors? Register for this free event here.

-Plan to register for special access book sessions in August! “This is who we are!” is a three-week series scheduled for the evenings of August 9, 16, and 23. Meet the authors, get to know the authors, get to know yourself. A deeper and wider conversation about hoping in color. Participate in the virtual sessions or receive the session recordings and special access materials to engage on your own. Registration opens May 2.

-Gather with LGBTQ+ people of faith and allies from across the Church to hope in color and enjoy the colorful foliage at Christmount with the Disciples LGBTQ+ Alliance. By engaging the spiritual practices from the devotional journal Colors of Hope, you will be encouraged and equipped to embody your faith—and queer your spirituality. With an emphasis on connection over content, you are invited to join the book’s editor and authors to wonder, resist, embody, create, hope, stretch, and share. Learn and unlearn and rest. Registration opens May 2!

-Book Melissa Guthrie and contributors for a special event with your group. Virtual or in-person small group guided book study tailored for your community. Book reading and signing. Preaching, teaching, speaking. Email info@colorsofhope.net.
