Response to the Election from the Pastoral Care and Education Team

You will be hearing more about the our revitalized Pastoral Care and Education Team. This post from the team comes in response to last week’s election.

Friends, although some of us are struggling with reality the end of this election, please be assured and reminded there are plenty of us still here working to further the God’s kingdom through seeking justice, loving kindness, and walking humbly with our God. The PCE Team has put together some resources for emergency situations for our GLBTQIA friends, and we do have a phone number available that will reach the members of GLAD’s Pastoral Care and Education Team: (317) 721-9257.

If you are feeling suicidal or you are resourcing someone who is feeling suicidal, please call the following one of the following suicide hotline numbers now available in this new section on GLAD’s resource list: Suicide Prevention.

We will continue to be working on liturgies and lovingly move towards educating our churches in ways to be supportive to all of their members. Although we have entered a potentially scary time, remember that you are not alone, you are beautifully and wonderfully made by our creator, YOU MATTER.

We are here to stand together and will not allow the progress that’s been made to be lost. Together, we can stand firm. Together we will continue to move forward for justice through love. United by Christ, nothing is impossible.

Grace and peace to you all, your Pastoral Care and Education Team—Erin, Katy, and Nicki
